The sensation of touch is a fundamental part of our daily experience. From a design perspective, it influences what tools and materials we use and how we use them to tell stories. We use touch to gather information about our surroundings and as a means of seeking familiarity. This project draws the analogy between a professional diamond cutter and a typographer. They sculpt, cut, and refine objects until they achieve optimum clarity. In these poster series, diamond stones are used to magnify the detail in the following typefaces: Jenson, Gill Sans, and Futura.
